Marion L. Downing, 81, formerly of Albion, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge Manor where she had been residing.  She was born June 30, 1935 in Albion, a daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Schartner) Randall.  Marion enjoyed reading, sewing and flower gardening.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth P. Downing II, a son, Jeffrey Hites, four sisters, Norma Burnell, Grace Connors, Martha Northrop, Janice Minch, and two brothers, James and Robert Randall.  Survivors include a brother, Edward Randall and his wife, Ann, of Albion, three sisters, Dorothy Pintea of Albion, Shirley Phelps of Conneautville, Linda Douglas of Nashville, TN, and many nieces and nephews.  No calling hours or services will be held.  Burial will be private by the family.  The Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, is handling the funeral arrangements.  To light a memory candle or leave a condolence, please visit www.matterafuneralhome.com
