Dee Clyde Steinheiser, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished friend to many, passed away on August 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on April 25, 1946, Dee lived a life filled with family, adventure, creativity, and accomplishment. He shared over 50 years with his beloved wife, Jean Elaine Steinheiser, building a life and family together.

An accomplished competitive archer, Dee became a state archery champion in both Pennsylvania and Florida. He built hot rods, owned and rode motorcycles, and even built and flew his own airplane.

A successful businessman, Dee owned Peter’s Chocolate, Stefanelli’s Candies, a propane sales business, and two car washes. He was also a proud Mason who served as Master of a Masonic Lodge.

Dee and Elaine made their homes in both Pennsylvania and The Villages, Florida, having six homes in each state over the years. Dee enjoyed designing homes and seeing his ideas come to life, with several of their homes built from designs he helped create.

Above all, Dee will be remembered for the life he built, the family he loved, and the many people who were fortunate enough to share in it.

Dee is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Elaine Steinheiser; his daughters, Lorie, Michelle, Kerren, and Julie; his siblings, Vicki, Rod, Glenn, and Seth; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Vic Steinheiser; his sister, Susan; and his brother, Roy.

Dee lived a full and remarkable life, and his memory will live on through his family, the lives he touched, and the many stories that will be shared for generations to come.

A Celebration of Life honoring Dee will be held on Sunday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, located at 10334 John Williams Avenue, Albion, Pennsylvania.
