Thelma Crecelius Gunter, age 101, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Albion, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, just 28 days shy of her 102^nd birthday.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 20, 1924, to Frederick and Mary Marr Crecelius.  She was active as a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, Girl Scouts, American Field Service (AFS) and the 51 Club.  Thelma will be remembered for her lifelong commitment to service, her unwavering optimism, and her devotion to family, friends, and community.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 11am at Albion Cemetery.  The Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, is handling the funeral arrangements.
