Barbara Ann Sherman, of Albion, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 80 years old. She was born April 22, 1946 in Erie, a daughter of the late Nelson and Janette (Thompson) Holder. Barbara attended Bethel Presbyterian church in Cranesville, Pa. She enjoyed many rides on the Gold Wing motorcycle, quilting with the Loose Threads Quilters and being an active member of the Lioness Club of Albion. Barbra was a dedicated, loving, and caring nurse at Pleasant Ridge for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Jane Longstreth and Rita Holder. She is survived by 8 Children; William Arkwright (Denise) of Cranesville, Pa, Brian Arkwright (Kerstin) of Cheyenne, Wy, Brent Arkwright (Jean Owen) of Benton, Ky, Sandy Schatz of Grove City, Pa, Lonnie H. Sherman, Jr (Laurie) of Albion, Pa, Patricia A Dombrowski (Darrin) of Albion, Pa, Barbara S. Sherman of DeSoto, Mo, Dennis Sherman (Connie) of Girard, Pa. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11am with visitation prior from 10am-11am. All services will be held at Mattera Funeral Home, 188 E State St, Albion.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion Area Public Library, 111 East Pearl Street, Albion, PA 16401.
