James A. "Jim" McCommons

James A. “Jim” McCommons, 73, of Albion, passed away suddenly due to natural causes on Saturday, June 22, 2024.  He was born September 16, 1950 in Erie, a son of the late Ross and Marie McCommons.  Jim retired from PennDot after 35 years of service.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Albion, the Albion Masonic Lodge 304, Albion Moose Lodge, Edinboro/McKean VFW Post 740, and the Girard American Legion Post 494.  Jim enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and he loved to golf.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debbie (Frombach) McCommons, whom he married October 21, 1972, two children, Shawna McCommons of Pittsburgh, PA and Eric McCommons of Clearwater, FL, his special buddy, grand-dog Tucker, three sisters, Joyce Bailey, Janet Howard (Chuck), Carol Owens (Doug), one brother, John McCommons (Kim), brother and sister-in-law, John W. Frombach (Elaine), and several nieces and nephews.  No calling hours or service will be held at this time.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and announced by the family.  Memorials may be made in honor of Jim to Grace United Methodist Church, 49 Franklin Street, Albion, PA  16401, Cranesville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 302, Cranesville, PA  16410, or to the Albion Masonic Lodge, P.O.
