Marylin "Mary" Bartholomew

Marylin “Mary” Bartholomew, 79, of Conneautville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born July 12, 1944 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Vincent and Gertrude (Knittel) Pierce.  Mary was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Argentine, PA.  She enjoyed painting, making candy, bread, donuts, and going to wal-mart.  She had a love for planting, growing flowers and crocheting. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  What she will be remembered for is her love for her family and being a hard worker.  She was loving and always placed others before herself.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Gannon Weber, and 10 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Bartholomew, six children, James Bartholomew (Sandy Leupold), Mary Hosler (Jason), Tamatha Rowland, Victoria Book (Jeremy), George Bartholomew, Charles Bartholomew (Shawna), one sister, Theodora Eichenlaub.  Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Calling hours will be held at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Monday, May 27, 2024 from 5pm-8pm.  A graveside service and burial will be on Tuesday morning at 9am at 19935 Shermansville Road, Conneautville.  Memorials may be made in honor of Mary to the Springboro Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Service, 176 North Main Street, Springboro, PA  16435.  To light a memory candle or leave a condolence, please visit
