Thomas "Curly" Stadler

Thomas “Curly” Stadler, 75, of Albion passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on February 18, 1949 and was the son of the late Raymond Stadler and Rosanne Hastings Hart.

He attended Fairview High School, where he was known as one of the “Avonia Beach Boys” and worked at Lake City Housing for many years. He married Mary “Cookie” Wolfe on September 30, 1967.

Tom was the quintessential motorhead.  Whether it was racing stock cars in his younger years, competing in truck pulls or just tinkering in the garage working on his 1962 Thunderbird and the many lawnmowers he owned over the years.  Later in life, he found he loved to fish.  He spent many hours fishing in his favorite fishing holes with his buddies and his wife, Cookie. He also enjoyed going on cruises and taking vacations to Mexico and the Caribbean. He was a long-time member of Moose Lodge 381 in Albion where he enjoyed spending time with his many friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Rosanne, and also his best dog, Casey.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary “Cookie” Stadler, daughters, Tracy Mundkowsky (Robert) and Debi Senyo (Fred Grumbach).  Also, granddaughter, Brianna Davis, grandson, Hunter Davis, and great grandson Austin Cooper.  He is further survived by sisters, Norma and Rosemary Stadler and brother, Richard Stadler.

The family would like to thank Renee, Kerryanne and Amanda for taking such great care of him during his short time in hospice.

Per Tom’s wishes there will be no services.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
