Patricia “Pat/Patty” Burt, 66, formerly of Albion, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at UPMC Magee Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh.  She was born February 10, 1956 in Erie, a daughter of the late Jack and Catherine (McCoy) Merritt.  Pat was a member of State Line United Methodist Church in Conneaut, OH.  She loved doing puzzle books, all animals, especially her dog, Samson, and spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Frank Dempsey, and a brother, Jack Merritt II.  She is survived by two daughters, Lydia Moser and her husband, Jeremy, of Oil City, PA, Zanah Dempsey of Franklin, PA, three grandchildren, Eli, Ellie, Elliott, six brothers and sisters, Dave, Judy, Diane, Kim, Bud, Stacy, a sister-in-law Theresa, and many nieces and nephews.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 2pm-5pm at State Line United Methodist Church, 7321 Bushnell Road, Conneaut, OH  44030, followed by a funeral service at the church at 5:30pm.  Burial will be private by the family.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38^th Street, Erie, PA  16508.  The Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, is handling the funeral arrangements.  To light a memory candle or leave a condolence please visit www.matterafuneralhome.com
