Larry Allan Bright

Larry Allan Bright was born July 23, 1956 to Belle Louise (Morrison) Bright and K.H. "Buss" Bright in Erie PA. He married Jeanne (VanAuker) Bright on October 22, 1977. Larry and Jeanne owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Albion PA from 1977 to 1990. After that he went on to be an over the road sales man recently working at Auto Pro Warrenty. He joined the Albion Volunteer Fire Department in 2015. He has also been a member of Cranesville Volunteer Fire Department. At the time of his death he had been a current Allied member of Springboro Volunteer Fire Department and was an Active member of the Albion Volunteer Fire Department. Larry was the current President, Fire Police Captain and an EMSVO with Albion VFD. He was actively running emergency calls up until his illness in April of this year. Larry was also very active with Project NEED of Albion. He was an auxiliary member of Springfield VFW Post 4965. He was a member of Springboro Station 21 Social Club. He was a member of Edinboro Engine House 39. Larry also served as a Albion Borough councilman in the past. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was THE grill master and hotdogs and hamburgers are never going to taste the same again! Larry was proceeded in death by his brother, William Bright, his parents and his wife Jeanne. He is survived by his four children; Stephanie (Bruce), Robert (Laura), Pamela (Mike) and James (Brianna). Twelve grandchildren; Brandon (Ashley), Austin (Leanna), Beckah (Jarrod), Milo, Violette, Krystal, Nate, Mikayla, Lance, John, Bridgette and Jackson. Five great grandchildren; Madison, Wyatt, Declan, Finn and Olivia. He is also survived by his sister; Sally Weller and his niece; Traci Wade. Larry is also survived by his fur babies Sophie and Duke. Memorials can be made to the Albion Volunteer Fire Department, 19 Smock Avenue, Albion PA 16401. Calling hours will be held at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Wednesday from 4pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11am. Larry was a wonderful friend that I had the pleasure of meeting through the Fire Police at Edinboro. We worked so many events and incidents together. Also in our motorcycle ride events. You will be truly missed but it gives us peace to know you and Jeanne are together again. My sympathy to the Bright family.
