Theodore Naglowski, age 100, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Edinboro Manor. Theodore was born January 28, 1922 to Theodore and Julia (Hotz) Naglowski, on the family farm in Pageville, PA. Theodore proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was part of a gun crew with the 478th Automatic Weapons Battalion deployed in the Philippine Islands and on the island of New Guinea. His battalion was an anti-aircraft battalion that received many letters of commendations for their efforts during the war. Theodore was a member of the Albion American Legion Post 567 for 70 years. He participated in many parades and other activities throughout the years. He was also a life member of the Edinboro/McKean VFW Post 740. He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Pageville for 97 years, and more recently a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Crossingville, PA. He truly loved his faith. Theodore was employed at General Electric, Swanson’s Boat & Oar, Culbertson’s Golf Course and retired from Penn Union. Ted was a true outdoorsman as he hunted into his late 80’s and in his younger days he trapped the streams of Albion, Edinboro, Pageville and Crossingville. He also loved to garden and especially grow his garlic. He also took daily walks in the woods, weather permitting. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan, even attending games into his 90’s. He also was a big fan of the WWE and boxing. Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen (Podobinsky) Naglowski, whom he married on May 20, 1950, a brother, Peter, and sisters Ann, Rose, Julia, and Teresa. He is survived by his son, Eugene (dear friend Ortenzia Keller and her family), also many special nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored. A special thank you to the entire staff at Edinboro Manor, who for 16 months took great care of him. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10am-11am at S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 25636 N. Mosiertown Road, Crossingville, PA 16412, followed by Divine Liturgy at 11am with Reverend Father Daniel Mathewson officiating.
