Norma Jean Connors, 92, of Albion, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021. She was born September 25, 1929 in McDonald, OH, a daughter of the late Earl and Thelma (Beebe) Hotchkiss. Jean graduated from Springboro High School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was part of the Women’s Group and volunteered her help at funeral dinners. She was also a member of the Albion American Legion Auxiliary. Jean enjoyed playing cards, especially with her grandchildren, she enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Above all, Jean’s family was most important to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lynn Connors, on March 21, 1977, a sister, Jane Featherolf, and a brother, Alvin Hotchkiss. Jean is survived by four children, Daryl Connors of Edinboro, Gary Connors and his wife, Tracy, of Erie, Lynne Buttaccio and her husband, Skip, of Albion, Kathy Bartko of Albion, seven grandchildren, Allison (Matthew) Coon, Jacob (Mackenzie) Bartko, Stephen (Ashley) Buttaccio, Mitchell (Courtney) Connors, Justin Connors, Christopher Connors, Leah Connors, one great-grandchild, Quinn Connors, two sisters-in-law, Daphna Hotchkiss of Baytown, TX, Helen Connors of Albion, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10am with Rev. Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made in honor of Jean to Grace United Methodist Church, 49 Franklin Street, Albion, PA 16401, or to the Albion Volunteer Fire Department, 19 Smock Avenue, Albion, PA 16401. So sad to hear of cousin jeans passing.. We have so many wonderful memories with this family!! (The cottage!! Summer city!!) Jean was a such a wonderful person!!
