Kenneth Francis Simlick
“I just want to go home.” were the last words spoken to family. Kenneth Francis Simlick, 82, of Albion, PA, did go home on September 14, 2021 to be with the Lord. Kenny loved farming as a young child and later years ventured out to work on a few farms in the community and beyond. He also loved his brother Bill’s Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He was always ready to ride with Bill, and when you saw him he usually had a Harley shirt on. He was preceded in death by his mother; Elizabeth (Jackie) Simlick, father; Edward Simlick, brother; Edward Simlick Jr., brother; Thomas Simlick. Survivors include a sister; Suzanne (Roger) Sherman, of Conneaut, OH, brother; Bill (Kathy) Simlick, of Phenix City, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a private family funeral service at Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, PA. Burial will be in Albion Cemetery with the assistance of Fr. James Kennelley of St. Lawrence Church. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking everyone to light a candle and say a prayer for all the loved ones alone in the nursing homes.
