Glenn A. Carter
Glenn A. Carter, 77, of Albion, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Edinboro Manor. He was born September 2, 1943 in Albion, a son of the late Rolla Carter and Ida Graves Carter Strait. Glenn retired as an engineer for the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad. He enjoyed talking about the old days at the railroad, old cars and trucks, tractors, rebuilding things, and being around anyone who had the same interests he did. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Carter, and two sisters, Betty Fortney and Jean Christy. Glenn is survived by four siblings, Frank Carter and his wife, Pat, of Cranesville, Linda Woomer and her husband, Harry, of Albion, Doris Hellermann of Florida, Judith Noerr and her husband, Bob, of Albion, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held privately by the family. Burial will be in Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeland Hospice, 4635 East Lake Road, Erie, PA 16511.
