Lonnie H. Sherman
Lonnie H. Sherman, 77, of Albion, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Edinboro Manor. He was born May 28, 1943 in Erie, son of the late Edward T. and Nellie (Page) Sherman. Lonnie attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Albion, he was a member of the Albion American Legion and a life member of G.W.R.R.A. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoor recreation, woodworking, riding his motorcycle and working on antique Ford tractors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Quackenbush and Rebecca Watson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara (Holder) Sherman, eight children, Lonnie H. Sherman Jr. (Laurie) of Albion, Patricia Anne Dombrowski (Darrin) of Albion, Barbara S. Sherman of Albion, Dennis Sherman (Connie) of Girard, William Arkwright (Denise) of Cranesville, Brian Arkwright (Kerstin) of Cheyenne, WY, Brent Arkwright (Sandy) of Cincinnati, OH, Sandy Schatz of Grove City, PA, one sister, Bonnie Turner of Butler, MO. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hour will be held at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Tuesday from 5pm until the time of a memorial service there at 6pm. Burial will be private by the family.
