Tyson L. Copeland

Ty L. Copeland (Tyson, aka Tybo) recently passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 following an unexpected car accident. He was born in Erie County on February 11, 1985 to Niles Sr. and Shirley (Zeigler) Copeland. He grew up in Albion and was there his whole life. Ty graduated from Northwestern High School in 2003. From there he had a number of jobs through the years. He loved being outdoors, working on his truck and 3 wheelers. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hanging out with great friends by a fire listening to music, going to see friends that were in a band, and helping haul equipment. He also enjoyed playing horse shoes, particularly the Brews N Shoes. In the year 2000 he would fall in love with a beautiful young woman who would steal his heart. And some years later he would marry Shana on August 9, 2014. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Liam Abel and Landon Wyatt, his parents, Niles Sr. and Shirley Copeland, a brother, Niles Copeland Jr. and his wife, Tonie, a sister, Lori Copeland Ramey and her husband, Jim, father and mother-in-law, Thomas Brandon Sr. and Cindy Brandon, brother-in-law Thomas Brandon Jr. and his husband, Jeff, brother-in-law Greg Brandon and his partner Kelly, Aunt Jane Muscarella, Uncle Don Craig, Uncle Chuck Craig, Aunt Lynn Berry, Aunt Darlene White, Aunt Harriet Copeland, Uncle Mark Copeland, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandpa and grandma Copeland, grandma Post, grandpa and grandma Brandon, grandpa and grandma Kennedy, Samuel Brandon, Aunt Bev Andrzejewski, Uncle Ted Andrzejewski, Uncle William Zeigler, Uncle Harold Zeigler, Uncle Walter White, Uncle Lewis Muscarella, Uncle George Copeland, Aunt Linda Gribus. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at the Albion Church of the Nazarene. Strict CDC guidelines of limiting the number of people, wearing face coverings and social distancing will be followed. Private funeral service and burial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. The Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, is handling the funeral arrangements.
