George Robert Teed

George R. Teed, 88, of Albion, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, May 9, 2020.  He was born May 30, 1931 in Cornplanter Township, Warren County, PA, a son of the late Haven and Alice (Deeter) Teed.  George served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was a former member of the VFW in Albion.  He enjoyed visiting Lake Erie, hunting, fishing and mowing his lawn.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Campbell, his second wife, Cora Teed, a daughter, Stephanie McManus, a great-grandson, Trent McManus, a sister, Betty Stivanson, six brothers, Lawrence “Mike” Teed, Richard Teed, Ray Teed, John Teed, Arden Teed, Paul Teed.  He is survived by seven children; Robert Teed and his wife, Nancy, of North Kingsville, OH, Mary Ann Teed of Jefferson, OH, Francis Teed and his wife, Jacquie, of Conneaut, OH, Laurie Skeel and her husband, Larry, of West Springfield, PA, Allison Gill and her husband, Barry, of Conneaut, OH, Glenn Teed and his wife, Julie, of Albion, Richard Teed and his significant other, Amy Anderson, of North Kingsville, OH.  Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion Volunteer Fire Department, 19 Smock Ave., Albion, PA  16401.  Due to the Covid-19 virus, private graveside service and burial will be held in Hope Cemetery, Wellsburg.  The Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion is handling the funeral arrangements.  To light a memory candle or leave a condolence, please visit
